About us
The Fair Tax Foundation is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Manchester. We run the Fair Tax Mark accreditation scheme, which seeks to encourage and recognise organisations committed to responsible tax conduct and financial transparency.
Some one hundred parent companies and 250 distinct trading businesses are currently Fair Tax Mark accredited, who between them employ over 250,000 and contribute more than US$1.5bn in corporation tax annually. Companies have now been certified in Denmark, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden, with further international expansion on the way.
The Fair Tax Foundation also runs other initiatives, including Fair Tax Councils and Fair Tax Week.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a skilled communications professional with experience of managing key communications channels, including corporate websites, newsletter mailings and events (both digital and in-person).
We are seeking someone who has previously worked within, or with, different kinds of businesses, and has a proven ability to engage energetically with private sector clients. Other desirables include the ability to generate concise and compelling content for communications.
We would ideally like someone who can work in our Manchester city centre office..
About the role
You will be an important part of our small but growing Communications and Movement Building team, and will be responsible for some of our key communications channels -specifically our corporate website, newsletter mailings and events.
You will also be tasked with deepening our relationship with our accredited businesses, with a view to them shouting about their Fair Tax Mark accreditation more readily across their channels.
Where time allows, you would be expected to pitch in and assist the Communications and Movement Building team with new business announcements, social media content, designing graphics and assets, and providing content input into new resources.
A salary of £32,500 – £35,000 is offered, with 30 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, 8% employer pension contributions, and the option to work one day a week from home.
