Spreading the message – welcome Sam Al-Hamdani to the team

Sam Al-HamdaniWe’re happy to announce the appointment of our new marketing and communications manager, Sam Al-Hamdani. Sam comes to us from the World Health Organization, and is a journalist and designer with over 20 years experience in the environmental and international public sector.

Sam said: “It’s great to come onboard. I have been working at the International Labour Organization for many years, where one of the key messages is about the balance between the different actors in the world of work – Government, employers and workers. I now have the chance to actually practice what I have been preaching; encouraging businesses to work in a way that works with society to improve things for everyone.”

A former editor of the Department of the Environment magazine Environment Matters, which promoted UK green businesses overseas, he has worked with a huge range of companies both as a journalist and in marketing, from FTSE-100 companies to one-man-bands. “Fair Tax Mark companies show that whatever size your company is, you can always do things the right way,” he added. “I’m really looking forward to seeing how I can help such a range of companies to communicate with their customers, and enable more people to find businesses that make a fair contribution to society.”

Sam is also an actor and improviser, so don’t be surprised to see him trying to combine all-ages comedy with jokes about ethics at the Edinburgh Festival.
