Barrow Cadbury Trust boost Fair Tax Foundation community share offer by £100,000


We are delighted to have received £100,000 investment from charitable foundation the Barrow Cadbury Trust, taking our community share offer more than 25% of the way to our target.

On 2 September 2024, we launched a community share offer on social investment platform Ethex looking to raise £450,000 to expand our operations and bring five times as many businesses into our progressive movement.

Barrow Cadbury Trust are an independent, endowed charitable foundation that have been focusing on social justice and equality issues for more than 100 years. They invest in charities and social enterprises, and are a long-time supporter of Ethex.

Ethex have a long-standing relationship with the Barrow Cadbury Trust, so it is fantastic to see them supporting the Fair Tax Foundation’s share offer,” Ethex CEO Lisa Ashford said.

Barrow Cadbury Trust’s investment brings us more than a quarter of the way to reaching our investment goal – a fantastic milestone achieved just days into the offer being open.

The offer is open for three months – targeting an initial annual return of 6%, and UK base rate plus 1% thereafter. There is a minimum investment threshold of £200, and a maximum of £60,000 for individuals and £100,000 for organisations. As with all investments of this nature, capital is at risk and returns are not guaranteed.
