Danish multinational North Media secure first Fair Tax Mark
North Media A/S have gained the Fair Tax Mark, joining businesses across Europe accredited to the gold standard of responsible tax conduct. Listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, North Media provide platforms and channels for businesses worldwide to communicate with consumers.
Businesses in the group include FK Distribution and SDR, which reaches millions of households each week through print and digital newspaper distribution in Denmark and Sweden, and BoligPortal, the largest platform for rental accommodation in Denmark. The group also own Ofir, a job portal, and Bekey, a digital key solution used by grocery companies and property managers.
The Fair Tax Mark accreditation scheme is the gold standard of responsible tax conduct. It seeks to encourage and recognise organisations that pay the right amount of corporation tax at the right time and in the right place. Accredited businesses include listed companies, co-operatives, social enterprises and large private businesses in the UK, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden.
Demonstrating their commitment to responsible tax conduct, North Media have provided beneficial ownership disclosure and solid commitments against tax haven abuse and aggressive tax planning as part of their assessment.
