Businesses in the group include FK Distribution and SDR, which reaches millions of households each week through print and digital newspaper distribution in Denmark and Sweden, and BoligPortal, the largest platform for rental accommodation in Denmark. The group also own Ofir, a job portal, and Bekey, a digital key solution used by grocery companies and property managers.

The Fair Tax Mark accreditation scheme is the gold standard of responsible tax conduct. It seeks to encourage and recognise organisations that pay the right amount of corporation tax at the right time and in the right place. Accredited businesses include listed companies, co-operatives, social enterprises and large private businesses in the UK, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden.

Demonstrating their commitment to responsible tax conduct, North Media have provided beneficial ownership disclosure and solid commitments against tax haven abuse and aggressive tax planning as part of their assessment.

Ask Illum Jessen, Chief Sustainability Officer, North Media, said:

“At North Media, earning the Fair Tax Mark isn’t just about responsible taxation; it’s a reflection of our core values. We believe in fair play and transparency, both within our company and in the communities we serve. By paying our fair share, we contribute to building a stronger future for everyone, echoing the values that underpin North Media’s success.”

Graham Drummond, Head of Communications and Movement Building, Fair Tax Foundation, said:

“We’re really pleased to welcome North Media to our movement of progressive businesses. With our third party, independent accreditation, they can now ‘say what they pay with pride’ and truly demonstrate their commitment to the letter and spirit of tax law.

“Corporate tax regulations are undergoing sweeping transformations globally. By securing the Fair Tax Mark, North Media are primed to stay ahead of the compliance curve in a future where heightened tax transparency is a compulsory standard.”
