EMW STax champion tax transparency with first Fair Tax Mark

UK property and capital allowance consultancy EMW STax have been awarded the Fair Tax Mark, demonstrating their commitment to responsible tax practices.

Established in 2011, EMW STax bring together more than 60 years of knowledge and experience in property tax and accounting in order to serve a range of clients. They are part of a group of companies, the parent company of which is EMW Group Limited. The EMW Group of companies does not include EMW Law LLP, which is a separate business.

As a result of committing to tax transparency, publishing a tax policy that explicitly shuns tax avoidance, and paying the right amount of corporation tax in the right place at the right time in accordance with the spirit and letter of the law, EMW STax have achieved their first Fair Tax Mark.

EMW STax said:

“We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the Fair Tax Mark, a recognition that reflects our deep commitment to responsible tax practices. Since our incorporation in 2011, EMW STax has always prioritised transparency, integrity, and ethical conduct, not only within our own operations but also in the advice we provide to our clients.

“Achieving the Fair Tax Mark reinforces our commitment to setting a strong example for others to follow. It highlights our dedication to ethical business practices and demonstrates that we are not just meeting industry standards but striving to exceed them.”

The Fair Tax Mark is the gold standard accreditation for responsible tax conduct. Accredited businesses include listed companies, co-operatives, social enterprises and large private businesses in the UK, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden.

EMW STax’s commitment to ethical tax practices also extends beyond their own operations to the advice they provide their clients.

Jaime Boswell, Head of Accreditation at the Fair Tax Foundation, said:

“We are delighted to welcome EMW STax to our growing list of accredited businesses. They have gone above and beyond by publishing details on profits and taxes and are extending the principles in their highly responsible public tax policy to the advice given to clients. By championing tax transparency and responsible conduct, EMW STax set themselves apart in an industry sometimes marred by aggressive tactics and can be a role model to their peers.”
