Transparency and promoting good tax conduct earns Brett Nicholls Associates the Fair Tax Mark
Brett Nicholls Associates has today secured its first Fair Tax Mark accreditation, the gold standard of responsible tax conduct.
Brett Nicholls Associates is a family-owned and managed accountancy firm based in Glasgow. It provides traditional accounting support services, as well as financial and non-financial analysis, advice and reporting.
David Nicholls, Partner, Brett Nicholls Associates said:
“We’re proud to be accredited in this way and hope that more accountants will join us in encouraging all businesses – particularly the largest and wealthiest – to work toward greater tax transparency and conduct.”
Jaime Boswell, Head of Accreditations, Fair Tax Foundation, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Brett Nicholls Associates to the growing number of Fair Tax Mark accredited organisations. The accountancy practice has a dedicated tax policy page on its website that not only shuns artificial and aggressive tax avoidance itself, but also applies this policy to the advice given to its clients. As an ex-accountant myself, it’s great to see an accountancy firm like Brett Nicholls Associates understand the importance of good tax conduct and what this means for its clients.”
The Fair Tax Mark is an independent accreditation, which recognises organisations that demonstrate they are paying the right amount of corporation tax in the right place, at the right time. Businesses carrying the Fair Tax Mark include national brands such as Timpson, Lush, and Richer Sounds, FTSE listed companies including SSE and Marshalls Plc., as well as co-operatives, family businesses and social enterprises.
