Fair Tax Week 2025: Celebrating Responsible Tax Conduct

Fair Tax Week 2025, held from 8th to 15th June, once again brought together businesses, councils, and partners committed to promoting responsible tax conduct. Who together, highlighted the positive role that transparent and ethical tax practices play in supporting communities and public services.

Participation

The week once again saw strong participation from both Fair Tax Mark businesses and Fair Tax councils, via a series of blogs, events and online activities. It was a great reminder of the collective progress being made towards greater transparency and fairness in tax. For example, a range of Fair Tax Mark certified organisations, such as Watches of Switzerland, Suma Wholefoods, Friendly Soap, Gleeson Homes and Richer Sounds, proudly celebrated by sharing their commitment to responsible tax conduct on social media and online with posts and blogs.

Articles

The Good Business Charter delivered two excellent articles across the week showcasing Fair Tax Mark accredited businesses such as Schroders Personal Wealth, Leeds Building Society and Alex Mann Solutions and quoting recent polling by the Fair Tax Foundation

Fair Tax Councils

Many Fair Tax Councils used the opportunity to highlight how certification supports sustainability in procurement and helps ensure the continued funding of vital public services and community wellbeing. Cllr Vince Maple, Leader of Medway Council, said: “We are proud to be backing Fair Tax Week and playing our part in ensuring the businesses we work with pay their fair share. Fair Tax Week is a way to celebrate and recognise the organisations that are proud to pay the right amount of tax, which benefits us all and supports crucial frontline services both here in Medway and across the country.”

JustMoney & Tax Justice Sunday

Support continued from our partners at the JustMoney Movement. Their annual Tax Justice Sunday activities included an ‘Intro to Tax Justice’ webinar, community engagement through stories shared by JustMoney champions, and a call for reflection across churches, with specific prayer points for tax justice.

AGM

The Fair Tax Foundation marked the week with its Annual General Meeting, welcoming three new board members who bring fresh expertise and perspectives. The Foundation also launched the pCbCR Hub, a new resource designed to help companies and stakeholders navigate public country-by-country tax reporting requirements.

We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who took part in Fair Tax Week 2025 and we look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead.
